Japanese Girls Buying Insurance Speak

I do not really agree with insurance companies who say that having insurance protects you or that it is a safeguarding of yourself your family and your assets. Let us be honest having insurance does not protect you from harm or from loss. I mean I have never seen someone or even heard of someone who whilst being robbed held up the policy and proclaimed, 'You cannot touch me! I have insurance!' Even the idea seems quite ridiculous, yet these are some of the messages the insurance industry try and sell people.

Now, what insurance is good for however is the monetary value of the insured items if damaged or lost or in the case of death or disability; it gives you the financial security, to cover unexpected medical bills or the loss of a salary.

The insurance industry is tricky as there are so many different products on the market as well as many insurance companies. And let us honest insurance policies with all its strange terminology and fine print clauses, are not the easiest documents to navigate. And then one must also mention that there are also insurance brokers out there who are less than honest when trying to sell you a product, having you take out more insurance than needed.

Speak to a broker

With all these things to look out for it is important to speak to a trusted insurance broker, who can help you navigate your way in the insurance industry. Insurance brokers can either work independently or for an insurance company, and it is their job to help you understand your insurance requirements and then help you choose the insurance policy that is right for now.

Now with that being said, I firmly believe that you should firstly do your own investigation as to what you really need insured and the different insurance options available to you before you go speak with a broker. I say this because buying any product requires you to investigate the product first before going to the salesman to ask his opinion, as this is the only way you can educate yourself as to not be duped into taking out more cover than you need. Granted a good sales broker will always act in your best interest yet you still need to look after you money and become insurance smart.

But I do however believe that once you have a better understanding of what you need, it is best to speak to an insurance broker and allow him to explain what is covered under a proposed policy. Insurance brokers are experts in their field and can offer you the most up to date expert advice.

Insurance brokers can be found online many sites will give you a list of insurance companies and independent brokers. You can call anyone of the many brokerage firms, but always remember that all insurance brokers need to be registered with the Financial Services Board, which ensures that they need to follow strict codes of conduct when dealing with clients and arranging insurance.
